See dealer or vehicle maintenance program booklet for details. §Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA’s) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov). **Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all accident crash circumstances. Fuel Economy

Miles per gallon, sorted into two types of driving: long leisurely highway trips, and city drives calculated with built-in traffic and coffee stops.

Performance

Measured in horsepower and pound-feet of torque. But otherwise known as pep, get-up-and-go, vroom, juice, punch, zip, and oomph. Or whatever term you prefer.

Carefree Maintenance

The number of months and miles of scheduled maintenance the manufacturer provides, so you can focus on the fun stuff.

Driving Comfort

The difference between squeezing in and stretching out. It's a game of inches, but ask any tall person. Every inch counts.

Cargo Space

How much room there is for your stuff, measured in cubic feet. Open your average microwave, and you'll see about one cubic foot of space.

Safety

This test simulates a head-on collision with two similar vehicles traveling 35 mph. One star means a 46% or greater chance of serious injury. At five stars, your chance of injury is reduced to 10% or less.
